Howdy, is there a formula to determine what size the mpg
is going to be after splitting? I split an mpg 50/50 but the
resulting figure is like 50/65% or 75%. Wonder why?

50/65%? Is that possible? What did you use as a reference point? Time? Frame NUmber?
    Hello.

  3. What did you use to split the file? I have seen a file get split and the file size wouldn't be right because the file was either badly encoded or the splitting program sucked.

I would demultiplex the file and multiplex it with BBMPEG but first I would add up the file sizes of the video stream and the audio stream and then divide that by 2. Take that figure into BBMPEG to split at that point, the result will be 2 perfect mpg's split right down the middle. If you end up with 3 by some chance just do it again but increase the figure alittle.

Hope this is the info you are looking for.

I don't understand what you mean by needing a formula.

Thank you for your imput. I used EO Video to encode AVI to mpg.
It was too large for Nero-so used Easy Video Splitter and it
ended up at 1.6 gbs! Wonder why?
