  1. i have a dvd filled with avi videos and one (1) mpg video. i put the dvd disk in my dvd player and only the mpg file can play. i guess then in order to see all avi files i need to make a conversion of them to mpg. question apart from how, would be to figure out what kind of mpg file is that which can play without any probs on my dvd player...
    where do i begin?
the main goal is to convert and place all videos on a dvd disk to watch on my dvd player!
    thanx

Load the mpeg into Gspot and post a screen capture of the information.

Also, post the brand and model number of your DVD player.

    how cheap was it?

you could always make it a present,
    and go for a toshiba

i also believe the greek make Crypto is good.

in short you seem to have bought crap.
    i can't find specs though.

if you want to convert your files to the format recognized on your disk.
    it's mpeg1.
you can use tmpgenc plus which is free for mpeg1 encoding,
    and play around with it.

    or you can do mpeg2
    and author DVDs.
    search guides.

    The Mpeg is VCD Standard

    MPEG1 Video 352x240

    MP2 Audio 224k

In the PC world, TMPGenc will work. Choose VCD format.
