I have a PCTV capture card that works well with half my Video8 conversions to MPEG2. The other half are out of A/V sync. I tried Ulead DVD movie factory which produced perfect A/V sync on my 'bad' video8 movies, but although it looked great on my PC DVD player, was very jittery on my Phillips DVD player. I am using CBR 6000 at an average 8 'quality' ( whatever that is), which runs my 2.2GHZ CPU at about 95%. This setting produces 5GB files that I have to edit, but still the jittering on movement in the final product. I am very happy with the PCTV output when it is in sync - very smooth - good quality (6.5Mbit) when played on the same Phillips player. Using TMPGenq or Ulead authoring still produced the same jitter output from the Ulead capture. I like the Ulead capture because it is in sync and I like the PCTV S/W because it is smooth. Does anyone have any idea where i can go from here!!!
