Stream Processing. It allows you to pick and choose what NOT to include in your finished product. I use it mostly to remove an un-needed audio track.

It's good for getting EXACTLY what you want with no extras. It's a good way to rip the AC3 audio tracks by themselves (that's what I use it for mostly).

ok so if i rip what i want in ifo mode can dvddecryptor burn what i just ripped? or would i just burn the files with nero or something like that?

As a matter of fact..........NO
ISO mode is for backing up a DVD5(4.7gig) without modifying it.
IFO mode is for taking PARTS of the DVD. But now you have just destroyed the integrity of the DVD and you now dive into this aspect of computing a little deeper.
I personally recommend you check out the guides for:
DVDDecrypter
DVDShrink
IFOEdit
.....all free programs like DVDDecrypter. The DVDShrink guides go into GREAT detail as to what you need to do after performing "digital surgery" on a DVD. But it is NOT difficult....if I can do it....ANYONE(except maybe my brother) can do it. -
luvvbuzz,
I use IFO mode when all I wanna do is rip the movie-only from a DVD. Then I use DVD2One to compress. If you want to use DVD Shrink, you need to use FILE mode. The advantage of using IFO mode is that it's faster than FILE mode..
FILE mode is used when I wish to backup an entire DVD. It snags all files on the DVD.
ISO mode is good for ripping and burning sub 4.37gb movies. It does both, so there is no need to use another burning app. -
ok so suppose i want to rip a 20 minute section of a film, i use ifo mode, what is the section saved as on my hard drive? does it save it as a video ts folder or does it save as .mped or .vob?
