I have a LG-4040b and it freezes everytime its about to write the lead-in track. I don't know know why. I have a p4 2.4ghz. and gigabyte 8pe-800 motherboard. 1 gig of ram.

the drives been working fine for months before this. I even tried another drive from the store and it had the same problem on my computer. I even did an entire reformat.

The discs i'm trying to use are ritek G04's. A new batch, but I've never had problems with Ritek's before.

Anyone had problems with the drive freezing when nero or dvd decrypter say writing lead-in? I don't even think it rights anything to the disc.

on a blue moon a disc will right.. but it seems to be getting less and less often. ahh!

if anyone has a clue whats going on.. any help would be greatly appreciated.
