  1. Hey guys!

I'm buying a new DVD-player next month, and I want to know what the best one out there for these requirements:

    - Multi-region
    - Can play DVD-R in 40-50% quality (CloneDVD) without pixels!
    - Double lasers/layers (to get rid of the "jump" in certain movies!)

The DVD-player I have now is a shitty Denver DVD. I recently got a DVD-burner and when I burn movies in 40-50% with CloneDVD, it pixels like crazy in my DVD-player! And I play it through the S-VHS output, so it can't be that!

But then I tested the same burned DVDs in my brother's DVD (an old Pioneer DVD), there were no pixels at all! So my conclusion was that I need to get a new DVD-player.

I really wanna get rid of these pixels, I'm a perfectionist (according to my brother!) and I demand perfection!

I appreciate any help, guys! This forum kicks butt!

  3. perhaps you should:

    A) not backup movies to 50%

    B) do some research, like take a backed up movie to circuit city or best buy and try some out and see which ones you like

  4. They have Circuit City in Sweden? That is a good idea, though, try before you buy. 8)

  5. I don't think we have Circuit City here in Sweden.

Okay, I've narrowed it down to five Pioneer DVD-players:

    -Pioneer DV-360
    -Pioneer DV-464
    -Pioneer DV-565A
    -Pioneer DV-565
    -Pioneer DV-656A-K

Which one would you guys recommend? Which of these delivers the best audio and video?

  6. Progressive Scan, would that help me getting rid of the pixels on my burned DVDs, or what does PS actually do?
