I just bought a Sony DCR-DVD200 video camera. But I am dissapointed that I can't bring the video into editors, like Premiere Pro, Movie Maker 2 or Ulead Video Studio. The files on the 8 cm DVD in the camcorder have the extension .VOB, .IFO and .BUP
Any hints![]()

I also just bought one of these camcorders but I'm a total noob to ALL of this stuff so I probably don't know what I'm talking about. I use the imagemaker program that came with the camcorder to capture to the album. There is a button that says "manipulates media files in the album". On the drop down menu I click "convert to MPEG2". From there I can open it in my video editing program. (Video explosion deluxe 1.5). Then I use Sonic MyDVD to make a menu and burn it. I hope this helps
