problem playing vcd on JVC DVD player

hi everybody,
i brother's having this problem described as "coaster". Video stops for a sec every ~10minutes. He downloads VCDs movies from the net and burn with Nero.
the weird thing is that it plays with no problem in the computer and he says that his dvd player support cdr, cdrw...

need more info...sounds like a bitrate problem being too high, bad media, or find out for sure whether or not the player TRULY supports VCD

This pause problem you are talking about happened with me too. This tends to happen with XVCDs that are made with files that not compliant with VCD standards. However, I never saw this problem with files that were compliant.

what's bitrate problem and how to fix it? i'm pretty sure it supports vcd because he did some research before buying it.

and in your research did you learn anything about bitrate??
try lowering the bitrate...if you dont know how, read the guides to your left.
