Hi all!
I've just purchased a Kiss DP-450 player and something strange happens:
after playing a DivX movie or the last MP3 file in the CD, the player hangs.
It shuts off the screen and the LCD panel. The remote control doesn't respond in ANY way and the buttons on the player seem also dead.
The only option is to switch it off and on again.
When listening to an MP3 file, I cannot stop it (or else the player hangs) nor jump to another song.
The SCART output isn't working and Macrovision seems to do a mess with my old television (even using the separate video out) so that I have to watch it on a little and newer television. Another DVD player I had didn't make any problem using the SCART plug, and also the VCR and the PlayStation.
It didn't work when I purchased it one week ago and still doesn't work after having updated the firmware to 2.7.4.
Sometimes the LCD characters are messed up, but this isn't a problem to me.
Now I wonder: is it a just defective unit (no problem on replacing) or something due to a VERY bad firmware?
Can anyone tell me if the firmware is running smoothly?
Are those errors happening only to me (I hope) or something more serious?
Thanks to all!
