  1. Orginally when I backed up a DVD using DVD Shrink I made the mistake of only backing up 6 Channel Dolby Sound. When I attempt to play this on my DVD player I can not get any sound. If I play the DVD on my computer with PowerDVD I am able to right click and change to another sound source on the disk and get sound. I have tried several different tricks to make the sound work and have no luck. Any ideas out there?

  3. Yes that would be a simple solution, however my original was violated by a two year old and is unusable. I would like to find a way to fix this copy.

  4. there's a great guide here on how to rip and strip audio and video files using dvd decrypter here: http://www.doom9.org/dvddec.htm#ifo

after separating audio and video into two files, you can use this guide to convert ac6 to ac3:

Once you've converted the audio file, you should be able to re-author using tmpgencdvd https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/172123.php and then burn it.
