    i have a goodmans gdvd134 that wont play original bbc dvd's (series) they play till the bbc logo then nothing just the word "stop" on the display. i have the only fools and horses series and the red dawrf series they all play on a friends dvd player but all stop on mine. the problem is ONLY with bbc dvds as all other dvds play with out a hitch
    Has anybody else had this problem? or know a way around it

    are you in an NTSC or PAL country, and are these NTSC or PAL discs?

    are they region coded? is your player region free?

    it's possible that your friend has a player that will handle dvd's from a different region or a different system (PAL/NTSC) and your player will not.
