  1. I downloaded the demo 10 days ago and am still
having problems getting the program to work.

    1. Hardware, Pentium III 500 MHz, 512 Megs of RAM,
120 Gig HD. Traditional Chinese Windows XP Pro
    and traditional chinese Windows Frame.net

    2. I started off with some DAT files that I downloaded.
I ran it through VCDGear 3.5. VCDGear detected some
errors, corrected them, and split the DAT into 8 files.
What can I do at this point to join these 8 files to
convert it as one mpg using SVCD? TMPG Enc? That
seems to defeat the whole purpose of using SVCD2DVD.
Any other program that can join the split files
created by VCDGear without causing audio/video syncing
    problem?
I tried to disable the split file option of VCDGEAR.
It did not work. SVCD2DVD just gave me a truncated
file when it ran the conversion.

    3. I have also put all the split files into one folder
and let SVCD2DVD do the conversion. The reuslt -- Nothing
was produced in the Video folder. I am not sure what
happened. I looked at the log file. SVCD2DVD identifed
the first files as a PAL format mpg and the rest as NTSC.
My original file is NTSC. When I played the original
file using PowerDVD, it said, Pan and Scan mode only.
So I did check the Apply Pan and Scan option box
before I started the conversion process.

    4. I also have questions regarding the menu option.
I really have not used this option since I did not
    even get that far.
I use Nero since that's what came with my DVD burner.
Is there any way I can use the Menu created by SVCD2DVD
with Nero? I would appreciate any suggestions.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. I suggest you try the program with stable (read not downloaded mpg files) and see how it goes cause it seems to me it doesn't work properly cause of not legal (read mpg files with errors) mpg files.

And also check the post on the demo version cause i think cuts or adds stuff to mpg files.
    Greatings,
    Yf
