  2. Check the audio source/recording options within your software. Most likely needs to set to Line-In.

  4. VirtualDub - Capture AVI - Capture - Settings - check Capture Audio check box.
VirtualDub - Capture AVI - Audio - Windows Mixer - check box for your audio input source.

    Good luck

Just burnt the resulting image to disc:

    15.5gig AVI file converted to Mpeg2 1.6gig!!!

Put into Spruce up for image & burnt with dycrypter.

    THE QUALITY ROCKS!

I am very impressed with my first capture, there is some minor audio synch issues but as soon as the audio runs out it looks like it has been brought back in (perhaps a feature of virtudub?).

Anyway long message short: ME VERY HAPPY.

  9. Some audio sync problems can be traced back to frame rate. Check your AVI master copys frame rate with a program like VirtualDub - File INformation to make sure it's exactly right. (like NTSC 29.970). MPEG2 conversion programs will output the exact frame rate required for DVD and if your AVI isn't perfect the audio can/will suffer.

I"ve also seen sync problems being something as simple as the audio file is like a 1/2 second shorter than the video. Converting such an AVI will surly have sync problems. This can be corrected easily once you know what's going on.

    ANyway... Congrads!!! and good luck.
