Anyone download version 1.3 yet and notice the transcoding times to be slower than normal?

On a 1.25ghz Powerbook a VIDEO_TS folder (7.7gig) that took 30min to encode before now took over an hour (under Panther).

  2. Does it really split a large title into two discs as described? This is a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT if so. It is a slight understatement to say another application had claimed this feat only to dissapoint.

Yes, jazzman, that's what it does! At the layer break, and perfectly so! (I only tried it with one DVD so far, though)

  4. Yes is does work! Well it's time to shake the cobwebs off of a whole bunch of archived (on DDS-4) >6gb movies! It's just a little bit sad we have to rely on the French to get this done but my hat is off to Rene and co. Fairly long wait...what's his name had his chance. I can't say any more as the dude did finally give me a refund.

  6. It has been churning out split discs all night. Fast and flawless. (and thanks for the correction)

  7. As for the original post, check to make sure that you are comparing constant compression to constant compression. Variable can extend the transcoding time and is the default when you open up DTOX 1.3
