  3. yes but do all of those play panasonic dvd-ram? I have narrowed it down like you said but was wondering if all those listed play it back even though the manufacturer's website dose not state that it plays dvd-ram. ex:// the apex dvd players never say on apex's website that they can play back dvd ram.

  4. Why would the list have all of those dvd players that say can play dvd-ram but their manufacturer's website dosn't say that it supports dvd-ram. Surly if it did besides the panasonic dvd players than their manufacturer would say it would on their website.

Panasonic DVD Player E35 will ... $80 at Walmart.

I haven't actually tried to see if they will.

... but the E35 will play the DVD-Rs ... that the Panasonic E50 DVD Recorders creates.

My LiteOn LVD-2002 claims to be able to playback from DVD-RAM, it doesn't specify if that is only for Divx content or DVD Mpeg2 - just that it can read from it.

Will give you breathtaking realism and impact of the cinema in your own home. Features Direct Disc Select, Disc Skip, Disc Program Play, Disc Random Play and Dolby Digital & DTS Surround Sound outputs.

    Key Features

    Video Features

    • Progressive Scanning
For outstanding reproduction of film material. Progressive scanning (480P) is a method of creating a high-density video signal that doubles the scan lines of a conventional interlaced signal (480I) to create a noticeably sharper picture. The 480P image offers higher picture resolution and eliminates bothersome motion artifacts - the jagged edges on moving objects that are typical of a converted interlaced signal.
    • Front Panel LED
For quick and easy disc status confirmation.
    • Cinema Mode
Improves picture quality in certain viewing conditions. Lessens the glare typical of direct-view TV screens, resulting in an image that is gentler to the eyes. Also improves the visibility of details in dark scenes by adjusting the picture contrast.
    • 10-bit Video D/A Converter
Delivers faster video signal processing for enhanced picture quality, minimizing digital artifacts.
    • Still Picture Display (I/P/B)
Freezes an image to allow for precise picture quality adjustments.
    • Auto Switching Field/Frame Still
    For added versatility.
    • Frame Advance
Gives you more control, allowing you to stop the action. Advance Forward or Reverse: One noiseless still frame at a time.
    • Picture Control
Three settings: Brightness, Color and Contrast, with Black Level Control.

    Audio Features

    • Twin Laser Pickup
    For DVD/CD Playback.
    • 192kHz/24-bit Audio D/A Converter
    For outstanding sound quality.
    • Disc Stabilizer System
Helps ensure greater compatibility between the player and software discs that may be warped and more difficult to read on other DVD players.
    • Chapter Preview
When you have only watched part of a movie, this feature helps you refresh your memory when viewing it again, by showing you the first 3 seconds of each previously viewed chapter. Once it reaches the position where you left off, it proceeds with normal play.
    • Hi-Speed Smooth Motion Scan
You can search Forward or Reverse with crystal clear quality in 5 different speeds - ranging from slow motion up to an incredible 100x the normal speed - while locating desired locations on a disc. And when scanning at the initial forward setting, you can hear the soundtrack.

    Easy Operation

    • On-Screen Menu Icons, helps guide operation.
    • Repeat Mode
    • Title/Chapter Search, with marker function.
    • Skip Forward/Reverse
    • Energy Star Compliant
