When I put a movie into Nero to burn it on a DVD cd then nero sais it is bigger than it really is. For example I had a movie that was 800Mb and Nero said it was 1.6Gb. What is this?

When I put a movie
DVD cd
If you're selecting some Video CD/DVD wizard in Nero, and dropping in an AVI, this is what happens, as Nero tries to reencode the AVI to the correct format.

Then what is the correct format.
The correct format for (?)??D can be found top left, under What Is.

As Mats said, Nero is most likley converting it to the correct format, that is why it gets bigger. I suggest you read the WHAT IS section of this site to learn what format you need for your desired application, then take a look at some of the conversion guides (neros encoder is NOT well respected).
