  1. Anyone here know where I could fine a s-video splitter to split the output from a satellite receiver to two outputs (to TV and DVD recorder). I found one online that was amplified however the price was over $200.

  2. well if you dont need an amplified splitter, it shouldnt cost you too much;

    althought i'm not sure about the degridation of video quality when you used a non-amplified splitter.

    maybe you should just use rca inputs in to the tv & s-video to the dvd player?

    Hey thanks for the link. Somehow I always forget about checking eBay.

    I wonder if there is much difference in video quality going from s-video out to RCA out into a TV?

    I've seen better picture quality using a S-Video cable versus an rca jack on my home TV, but it was a very, very small difference.

    $45 at Radio Shack - a 4 way audio/video distribution "amplifier". You can do S-video in and composite out if you need to.
