NeroVision Express 2 won't take mpeg2 files

Nero Vision Express 2 just shows an error message if I try to insert an mpeg2 file into the project (something like "can't insert file", it's in german). It takes other files like divx without problems. The mpeg2 files were created in TMPGEnc DVD-compliant and work in other DVD authoring software without problems. It's the full verion of nero, not OEM. Any ideas?

I had the same problem but with certain MPEG2 files and not others. The error message is "Unable to insert (filename)". I've experimented and found that even minor changes such as re-encoding the MPEG2 file with a lower audio bitrate, or shortening (or lengthening) the whole clip duration (changing no other parameters), allows the clip to be added. I have no idea why! I tried demuxing the files and the video can be added to the project, but the duration is not right so ... it doesn't seem to me that it's worth the trouble to use Nerovision for such files.
