I would like to create an audio cd that will play on all cd players. What file format the files have to be in?
If my source is mp3 files, which software is the best to do the convertion?
Thank you.

Here's a couple of freeware burn programs:
www.burnatonce.com -gets the job done
http://hem.bredband.net/cdburnerxp/ -highly recommend -
I wouldn't recommend using WMP in XP to burn audio CD's - I found it produced pretty terrible results. (It was a while ago, but as far as I remember, it insisted on converting to WMA format - at a lowish bitrate - before burning)
Nero does this job very well - that's what I'd recommend.
...or if you can get a freeware app that will burn wav files as an audio CD, use something like Audacity (also freeware) or GoldWave to convert your mp3's to wav's before burning.
cheers,
mcdruid.
