  1. I would like to create an audio cd that will play on all cd players. What file format the files have to be in?

If my source is mp3 files, which software is the best to do the convertion?

    Thank you.

You can make an audio CD out of MP3s using Nero and it will do the conversion for you. Some burning software only accept WAV files and I have found that CDEX is good for conversions.
    If in doubt, Google it.

If you have windows XP I'm pretty sure that you can use WMP to burn MP3s.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  5. I wouldn't recommend using WMP in XP to burn audio CD's - I found it produced pretty terrible results. (It was a while ago, but as far as I remember, it insisted on converting to WMA format - at a lowish bitrate - before burning)

Nero does this job very well - that's what I'd recommend.

...or if you can get a freeware app that will burn wav files as an audio CD, use something like Audacity (also freeware) or GoldWave to convert your mp3's to wav's before burning.

    cheers,
    mcdruid.

    If in doubt, Google it.
