My standalone dvd says it will read mini dvd can i produce these with just a cdrw writer i think it says i can in the faqs but im a bit confused is the quality better than svcd and one stupid question i want to print off the instructions form here but i chop off the end of the page how can i print off it all with nothing lost

Your stand-alone says that it can play miniDVD? In the manual? I find that hard to believe... If this is the case, what is the brand and model of your DVD player?

The quality of miniDVD can be better than SVCD. It can be as good as DVD. Realistically though, for a video clip of any reasonable length, the quality will only be SVCD level.

As for the printing, you may have to adjust the margins (for IE, File --> Page Setup).
