    Hi

I am using shrink and nero to copy onto dvd+r's I am using decent ritek dvd+r's but I am having problems with the menus when shrinking my dvd9s around the 60% mark is this because I am going to low? What compression rate do people recommend before this starts to happen?

I shrink menus and extras (if I wanna keep them at all) as much as I can, but not to all the way to 'Stilll Pictures' trying not to shrink the main movie by more than 30%. And those backups still look good.

  3. I compressed the LOTR Two towers to 57% or 56% and you can't really notice anything wrong with it. Sometimes when there's a lot of black on the screen you'll see some "pixelation". But i'm the only one who's noticed cause I made them. That's the lowest I've gone while keeping all the menus and other functions intact. Re-authoring compress at 63 or 64% full movie. I leave my menus no lower than 75%. Sometimes they don't work right if I go lower. All you'll save on the movie is maybe 1% so I leave the menus above 75% if I can
