Vdub is dropping lots of frames when i'm capturing this specific movie from vcr. It's a brand new tape, and vdub is dropping frames always at the same point. I've tried with another copy of the movie, and it's still dropping. Other movies capture ok (30fps @ 640x480). I think it could be some kind of scrambling, or lock. Is it possible?

i have the same problem when capturing at a higher resolution. I tried 352x240 and drops fewer frames which you wouldn't notice when played back on a standalone player.

That seems to happen if there's alot of noise or motion at a particular point, try capturng at 352x480 (to get all the scan lines) and resize appropriately (horizonatal resolution isn't as important as vertical), also try capping the audio seperately then mixing it back in (as a last resort
