...that isn't the AC3 Filter in the tools section on this website. That codec works but also crashes a vital part of TMPGEnc that I need to use as well.

Is there another codec out there that will allow me to play AC3 audio without having to put up with a crippled TMPGEnc as a penalty?

I have ac3filter v0.70b installed and the tmpgenc v2.59 cut/join tool does NOT crash/stop when I edit mpeg2 with or without ac3 audio.

It also work fine with ac3filter 0.68b.

So it can't be the ac3filter only that causes the crash/stop.

Well v2.59 of TMPG is a pretty old one. Maybe the problem only exists with the newer versions. I am using v2.521 of TMPGEnc Plus.

Can you either send or tell me where I can find a copy of the earlier v0.68b ac3filter?

    Thanks.

It certainly looks that way to me, but I guess it could be a result of being in combination with the other software/windoze updates installed on my computer at the moment, but the problem only arose after I had installed a heap of Windoze updates and the AC3 Filter. I have eliminated the Windoze updates from being the problem and the only thing left is the AC3 Filter.
