  1. In your guide on TMPGEnc it says not recommended to use the simple color correction filter. just wondering why. I'm re-encoding a problematic DVD that is way darker than it should be and this filter seems to brighten it up just fine in the preview window. before I do a full encode though just wondering if there is a particular reason not to use this and if so is there a better option.

    Thanks.

Not enough control in simple mode. I like advanced mode a lot more.

Not yet, but they are planned. Jury duty keeping me away from things I enjoy.

  6. "Poppa_Meth" Rip the DVD with DVDshrink do not compres take only atwo channel audio or no audio if the a DD or DTS. Then takeTMPG DVD Author make one large MPEG file. Then edit small clip that you like from the movie and encode them. Then burn to DVD-RW to watch the test clip's. This way you can test it and see how you like it.

  7. thanks for the tip. I've pretty much got it the way I want it now, except my full encode stopped in the middle because windows decided to adjust my virtual memory for some reason. now I have to do it all over again.
