  1. Hello, i know there's loads of similar topics but all the devices seem to be US based so does anyone in the UK have any sucess with a device over here? I've purchased a provsion box which can be seen here http://www.consolesandgadgets.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/1455?osCsid=3...3f37a51359ca3f

I bought it on good reccomendation that it works but i'm still getting the "you cannot copy this material" when trying to record from a standard PAL video to the Panasonic DMR E50. I'm using 2 scarts and the box is switched on but the DVD recorder still won't allow me to copy macro protected tapes.

Does anyone have this unit that has worked for them or can anyone point me in the right direction if i'm doing something wrong or perhaps find me a box that definitly works alongside their E50?

    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks

I used the Sonel Macro Master Pro lead on my E50 to back up all my VHS tapes and some DVDs, no problem with any tape not recording.

Even works with recording movies from Sky box office.

  3. "hammy" the "Sonel Macro Master Pro lead" does it still keep the closed caption Subtitle's ever Macro remove I used rip's out the Closed Caption subtitle's also.

"grapplingpunk" I do not think it matter about the macro remover being NTSc or PAL.

I use Sima box for VHS to PC and www.facetvideo.com for VHS to DVD recorder.

Sorry for the delay, had to check a few discs first, to be honest it wasn't something i had really thought about.

No it doesn't seem to allow them through, judging by the ones that i've just checked, that included a movie from sky box office, you just get what's on screen.
