Is it possible to convert your vcd back to the original avi file. I know how to open up the vcd using isobuster but from there i am at a loss.
What i am tring to do is since i upgraded my dvd player i want to reformat my vcd to svcd and at the same time check the files for bad frames & audio sync problems that i have as these vcd's were done when i first statred to write vcd's.

Not really. You can convert it back to an avi, to the original avi...no.

VCD>AVI>DVD is not a great conversion, too much quality lost in converting twice. Better to go straight to DVD, no conversion is required at all as VCD is DVD compatible. Look in the guides section under format conversion VCD to DVD for a guide.
