im backing up my dvd's using dvd shrink. when i go to watch a movie on a dvd -/+ r, i notice that throughout the movie, it tends to pause for a split second during playback, but it doesnt do it if i watch the original dvd.
Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening and can anything be done to prevent it? Im using memorex dvd-r and dvd+r and nero 6 to burn to dvd.......would burning at a slower speed make any difference? i currently burn at 4x

slowing the burn speed couldnt hurt. Probbly an imperfection on the disc at burn time, something with the software or hardware.

this usually happens when a film is incorrectly changed from system to system, like from PAL to NTSC. This might be happening. I don't think a burn imperfectoin can go throughout the disc and cause a perfect picture with the frames showing wrong.

Try using burnatonce (free) to burn. Some have issues with Nero.
