  1. im backing up my dvd's using dvd shrink. when i go to watch a movie on a dvd -/+ r, i notice that throughout the movie, it tends to pause for a split second during playback, but it doesnt do it if i watch the original dvd.

Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening and can anything be done to prevent it? Im using memorex dvd-r and dvd+r and nero 6 to burn to dvd.......would burning at a slower speed make any difference? i currently burn at 4x

  2. slowing the burn speed couldnt hurt. Probbly an imperfection on the disc at burn time, something with the software or hardware.

  3. this usually happens when a film is incorrectly changed from system to system, like from PAL to NTSC. This might be happening. I don't think a burn imperfectoin can go throughout the disc and cause a perfect picture with the frames showing wrong.

My Frame Resize Calculator (enhanced for Virtualdub) is available here

Try using burnatonce (free) to burn. Some have issues with Nero.
