Nero 6, no DVD burning?

I have a trial ver. of Nero 6 Express, and was wondering if because it's just a trial ver., you don't get to burn DVD's, or is it that I don't have a DVD burner and it isn't reading that I have one installed?
Do you need a DVD burner for Nero to give these options? or do I need a full/different ver. of Nero?

( I know, how can I burn a DVD with no DVD burner)
Well, I'm getting one soon, but want to be able to get as far as I can without actually burning it to DVD. I have worked out everything, all works fine on computer, but want to get Nero to say "please insert blank dvd+/-r/rw", then I'll know if things are all ok.

It won't offer you any DVD burning options unless a DVD burner is installed. Your software is fine.
