  1. MMburner 6 has been upgraded to v.6.2! Eveything seems to work well. Does a very nice one step mpeg SVCD or VCD ready file /bin/cue/burned to SVCD. Version 6 had lots of bugs and I couldn't use but this version is great! Way better then Toast for VCD and SCVD. No more of them file will be too large messges from Toast.
The only thing that comes to mind right away is I'd like the Browse feature put back in for choosing files. Drag and drop is fine but sometimes a lot of extra trouble digging through folders and drives.
A big thank you to RNC for continuing to improve this great APP!

      Version 0.6.2 Nov 18 2003
      Many tweaks including:
      detects burning dives at start-up
will no longer unmount drives unexpectedly
more reliable mount and eject functions

What a wonderful update to an already wonderful app !

ps, didnt 6.0 have the .mpeg directly to SVCD function?
i remember it having that and that it worked....

  3. Ok, I could have done a better job of writing that ;-) I don't notice any new features in 6.2 over 6.0 . However the app had so many bugs for me I couldn't use it. Hard drives would unmount and all sorts of bad things. So for me it was an upgrade that didn't count. Somethings did work if the drive you were trying to burn a file from didn't disappear ;-) The bugs seem to be all fixed and it works really well.

  4. When I unzip the archive i get a MissingMediaBUrner.app file and a __MacOSX Folder with a missingmediaburner .app file inside it.

This does not seem correct... It also does not run properly.

    anyone have this also.

    galactica,

tried that, got the following and made no further progress:
    xxxx@xxxx(~):cd /Applications/ssingdiaBurner.app/Contents/Resources/bin
-bash: cd: /Applications/ssingdiaBurner.app/Contents/Resources/bin: No such file or directory
    xxxx@xxxx(~):./cdrecord -prcap dev=IOCompactDiscServices/1
-bash: ./cdrecord: No such file or directory

    any ideas?

what are you using to unzip the archive?
If you have stuffit 8 be sure its updated, because that can cause problems with stuffed files. I have the most up to date stuffit, and had no problems what so ever.

if that is not the case, you should contact Ross.

  10. Yeah tried that before posting, also tried to unzip it with winzip just for fun. I did manage to get a good copy by NOT allowaing safari to expand it automatically. (Go figure) However I still can't get it to work, has the same errors.

Spoke to Roass about it, and he can't duplicate it, so for the time being I will be going back to version 0.6.0.

    bummer...

I will try again after I do a resinstall of the system some time soon, there may be a few things screwy after the Jaguar to Panther upgrade, you never know.

    Thanks for the help anyways...
