    greets all -

I did a forum search and found more questions than answers.

I have a disc that I have reauthored with DVD Shrink to remove some sequences.

the problem I'm having is that it doesn't have many chapter points - maybe one every 15 mintues. I'd like to add chapters at 2 to 3 minute intervals.

is there any vob editing software that will let me go in and set chapter points manually?

    thanks for any info.

Load the movie vobs into TMPGEnc DVD Author and you can put chapter points whereever you want.

thanks, but I could do that with DVD Lab as well - I was thinking there might be a way to edit the vob directly, rather than importing it into an authoring program.

I was thinking maybe you could modify the IFO's and add chapters using that but I'm not too sure

you would need to know exactly which sectors you want each chapter to start as well as a few other things

I'm not 100% sure but maybe the VOB's would also then need modifying as they contain the data in each VOBU so when you press RW/FF/Previous/Next etc it knows which VOBU to go to next

I've used Vobedit to change VOBU pointers and it takes ages

I guess DVDLab is an easier option
