  1. I captured the Alabama - Auburn game Saturday (WAR EAGLE!!) now I'm stuck trying to get the final product onto a DVD. I apologize in advance if this is the wrong forum. Here's my problem,

    1) I captured the game using a Hauppage PVR250. The total file size was roughly 15GB. The capture settings were VBR 6400-8000, 720x480 resolution.

    2) I used the Hauppage delivered tool to edit out everything except the game. This tool is called nanoPEG Editor 2.2. This left me with a file about 7GB. At this point the video is absolutely FINE. Now I've got to get this file down to DVD size.

    3) I used TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.5.11.37 to attempt to convert the mpeg to the files necessary for DVD writing. The app will get about 15% in then just finish?!? I view the output and I've got just a little bit of the first quarter and that's it. The settings are correct for processing the entire file.

    4) I used TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 to try to reencode the file at a lower bit rate. The output of this is horrible. The video is decent, but by the end of the game, the audio is approximately 10 seconds off.

    5) I tried to repeat step (3) using Ulead's Moviefactory 2.10.1000. The app processed the file, but once again the audio was off.

For those that are wondering, I was going to use DVD2one after step 3 or 5.

Like I said, the 7GB file is fine. The video looks good and the audio is perfectly in sync. Does anyone have any ideas of what I need to do to get this game on DVD?

Sorry to be so long winded and thanks in advance,
    Mick

Try loading the video into Gold Wave, and saving the audio as a wave file. Then load both the video and audio into the wizard to reduce the bit rate to fit on one disk.

You can also see how long the audio file is versus the video, and lengthen or shorten the audio to match it.
    Hello.
