Having problems converting DV files created by ADCV-100 with ScenalyzerLive to MPEG-2 (NTSC) using TMPGEnc. Problem is that playback seems jerky during movement. Only thing that I’ve found that smoothes playback is to “Inverse Telecine” to 24fps.
TMPGEnc settings used:
From project wizard selected DVD NTSC
Options changed after that
Tried both CBR 8000 and VBR
DC component precision: 10
Motion search: Highest quality
Video arrange method: Full screen (Keep aspect ratio)
My newbie questions:
Will changing the fps to 24 cause any problems with a standalone DVD player?
Am I missing a setting in TMPGEnc that would allow smooth playback at 29.97 fps?
System
1800xp KR7A-R133
4 60 Maxtor in raid 0
9700pro ATI
ADCV-100
Hercules GTXP
Canopus Codec
