  1. Basicaly I have two divx files with mp3 audio. One file has good audio and one has good video. I just want to direct stream copy a single divx file with the good video and good audio.

    I don't know why but I cannot find a program that can do this without reencoding.

    Thanks

  2. Virtualdub.

    Load file with good video.

    Set video->direct stream copy
    Audio->no audio
    File->save avi.

    Now load file with good audio.
    Set audio->Direct strream copy.
    File->save as wav (it will actually be an mp3 encoded audio stream with a wav header)

    Now load video saved in 1st step.
    Set video->direct stream copy
    Select audio->wav audio and select audio saved in 2nd step.
    File->save avi

    That ought to work

    Insert: Set audio->direct stream copy (It was set earlier but just to make sure.)

  4. Thanks, that did it. I knew there was something fishy about the extract to wav, and audio from wav but didn't realize it worked like this. Will sure make my editing simpler now.

    Thanks again.
