  1. Hi, guys,

I have the following synch problem:

Configuration: an MPEG-2 file, 640x480, 29.97 fps, recorded with Leadtek WinFast Deluxe.

Problem: Demultiplexing and multiplexing the file cause a problem with video\audio synchronization.

I have tried different conversions to various NTCS MPEG formats with various MPEG encoders and ended up having the same synch problem.

What's the trick? Seems to me that only the original file has proper synchronization.

    Please help!

  2. Well, I want to refraze my previous post:

    1) I was stupid enough to capture my video into a file with a wrong format.

    2) The original file does not have any problems. I want to burn a DVD with it.

    3) Any conversion (even simple demultiplex-multiplex) cause the resulting file to break out of audio-video synchoronization.

Load the original video into Gold Wave. Save it as a wave file. Load the orignal video into TMPGEnc as input video. Load the new wave file as input audio. Load the correct template, press Start.
    Hello.

  4. Thanks. I tried it. It did not help...

    I am almost desperate.

I checked the length of the video which is 57.01 and the length of the damn audio stream which is also 57.01

Do you think it is somehow related to the fact that the video was captured with a Sony camera and it was stopped a couple of times while shooting(it's got multiple episodes)?

Possibly. You may want toload it into Virtual Dub mod and scan for bad frames.

  6. It was the first thing I did... And Virtual Dub found no problems with the file...

  7. Describe the de-synch. Is it a static second or so off, constantly, or does the level of de-synch gradually increase? Does the file start to play in synch in the beginning and get worse, or is it OOS from the beginning?

Are you determing audio synch by using software or hardware playback? Describe whichever applies.

When you Demux the file, does it show a Padding Stream? If so, and you demux the padding stream, does it have any significant size?

Have you tried running the original file thru TMPGENC Merge and Cut, and then editing the resulting file?
