  1. hi,

I encoded a mpeg file with tmpgenc to make a vcd and then burnt the file with nero 6. The cd plays fine on my computer but does not play on my dvd player(yes it plays vcd's). Can anyone please help. This is the first vcd I am making and am wondeing f I did anything wrong. Do I need to change the default setting of tmpgenc?

It plays VCD's but does it play cd-r/rw or whatever media you burned it on? Check the compatibility list on the left under DVD players to make sure.

...also, try to author with something besides Nero. My dvd player refuses to even consider playing a VCD authored with Nero, but plays VCDEasy authored VCDs without problem.

There is original VCD's that are factory made. just home made vcd's are on a cd-r/rw.
