I'm just looking for an easy way (program or other) to convert burned dvds to avi files so i can edit them again with Premiere {i think i'm asking too much... } Anyway, i tried virtualdub but it doesn't open dvds only mpegs, i also tried flask and super dvd riper but none seems to do the thing i'm trying to do...

I've checked most of these guides and i've tested all the programs they mention but still the avi file i produce is not editable with Premiere, it won't even playback in WMP...{as i said, i probably ask too much}.Anyway, maybe it is something i am doing wrong

try dvd2dvdr. This will make an m2v file and an audio file for you. As for converting to avi I dont think there is a good way to do this. Anyway why would you want to. I am not sure of an editing application that can take m2v files but I know there are some out there.
