Cut Svcd Mpeg2 clip, at specific point? can you do this?

i have an hour long svcd mpeg2 concert, and i know i can have apps cut it in 2 parts no problem. but can i have then cut at a specific point so i can have be at the beginning or end of a song?? if this is possible, what ap/s do i use?

I recall an older version of ffmpegx having a split function where you could put in criteria (size, min, etc)
if you keep the old versions open one up until you find that option.
Otherwise, i know mpgtx wrap can do similar criteria, but it may be difficult to pinpoint it EXACTLY!
