Hi Guys.
I am forever having to render clips (usually .mov or .avi files) when I add them to the timeline in a final cut express 3.5 sequence. I have read online that this is due to the clips properties not matching those of the sequence (ie the frame rate or audio may not be the same) and the solution to this is to alter the sequence to match the properties. Does anyone know how to actually do this? I can't seem to find a guide online anywhere. Also is it possible to save it as a "template" (for want of a better word) so that I can revert to it when needed?
Thanks in advance.

Your Sequence is set in Preferences to DV-PAL? or DV-NTSC?
Render your .mov or .avi files first to DV Stream,
then import them into FCE. Then, the only rendering
you will have to do is when you do transitions, cuts, etc.
NOT on or after importing in."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."

When I'm not here, Where can I be found?

Thanks for the reply.
I am using DV-PAL. How would I render a file to DV Stream?
