I bought a new 401s for a 2nd machine I was building all my Standalone's always played my backups burned from my NEC1000A, but my Toshiba 6200 is not loading disks burned from the Liteon. Neither is my XBox. I've since flashed the unit with the latest firmware. Kind of a bummer because the Toshiba is my main player. Is these anything I can do about this?

Apparently you need a +R/RW burner which has the bitsetting capability to change the book type of the disc to DVD-ROM. Unfortunately the Lite-On 401S doesn't have this capability, you should find another burner such as Ricoh, BenQ, or NU with the bitsetting function.
