With regard to DVD activities only, forget Blu-Ray, is there a list of software that we use indicating compatibility with Windows 7, 64 bit OS? For example: can WinFF, Xmedia Recode, DVD Shrink, TmpGenc, etc.,etc., run on a 64 bit machine in this present 32 bit world?
I would hate to go 64 bit only to find out my important DVD software would not run well on it.
Microsoft Windows 7 Compatibility site is useless in this regard.
Perhaps, we could add a list to this thread from various people's experiences.

I run DVD Fab and DVD Shrink on XP 64bit and my Uncle runs them both on Win 7 64bit. Sorry, I don't know much bout the other programs though.

This is for 32bit:

Unfortunately there is some compatibilty problems with 64bit. -
I'm running TMPGEnc Plus on my Win7-64 system without any issues.
I've got most, if not all, of my video-related tools running in their 32-bit versions. Mainly because due to there not being a 64-bit version of Avisynth, so I just figured I'd keep the whole chain 32-bit. Been working fine for 6 months or so. -
This compatibility list for Vista is still mostly correct for W7 and includes 64 bit programs: http://www.iexbeta.com/wiki/index.php/Windows_Vista_RTM_Software_Compatibility_List
