  2. You can find a fairly comprehensive guide here:

    Hope that helps.

  3. Incidentally, if it's just chapters that you're struggling with, you can simply right click on the chapters timeline (above the video timeline) and selected "Add Chapter Point" (make sure you choose numerical chapter numbers ie chapter 1). Just do that at various stages throughout the line.

  5. This way is quite laborious, so if you want to do it a bit quicker, make a chapters list such as this:

    $Spruce_IFrame_List

    00:00:00:00
    00:05:00:00
    00:10:00:00
    00:15:00:00
    00:20:00:00
    00:25:00:00
    00:30:00:00
    00:35:00:00
    00:40:00:00
    00:45:00:00
    00:50:00:00
    00:55:00:00
    01:00:00:00
    01:05:00:00
    01:10:00:00
    01:15:00:00
    01:20:00:00
    01:25:00:00
    01:30:00:00
    01:35:00:00
    01:40:00:00
    01:45:00:00
    01:50:00:00
    01:55:00:00
    02:00:00:00
    02:05:00:00
    02:10:00:00
    02:15:00:00
    02:20:00:00
    02:25:00:00
    02:30:00:00
    02:35:00:00
    02:40:00:00
    02:45:00:00
    02:50:00:00
    02:55:00:00
    03:00:00:00

Copy all the lines above including the header and save them to a text file called "chapters.chp" (it doesn't matter if the film is less than 3 hours long, it will just import the chapters needed). When you right click on the chapters timeline, choose "Import Chapter List" and select the CHP file. Edit the times if you want to customise the chapter intervals as this will simply give you one every 5 minutes.
