    Hi

It's been a while since I've been on here. After many years I've had to reinstall Windows XP Pro (SP3). So now I'm reinstalling DVD Maestro v9. I've also reinstalled CineMaster 2000 for the preview function, but it's not working. Both installs say they worked successfully.

DVD Maestro is not detecting Cinemaster's codecs and so is coming up with the old message "Realtime preview funtionality will not be available because no decoders have been detected.(0x410a0011)"

Googling this has not helped. Everything I find says "install Cinemaster 2000", which I have, but does not go into resolve problems when the Cinemaster install has failed to enable the RealTime preview.

Any help at all would be most gratefully received.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Ian.

I put the files that the Cinemaster install program installs in the SYSTEM32 folder into the directory that has DVDMaestro. I find that this works for me.

IIRC, there are three or four .DLL files that need to be moved.

Were you previously able to get a realtime preview using XP SP3?

I moved the following Cinemaster files to the DVDMaestro Directory:

    CINEMAST.DLL
    CINMHOOK.DLL
    CINMST32.DLL

I only used this last on XP SP2, but it was an old install. First time I'm doing it on SP3. I'll find the DLLs and move them and let you know how I get on.

  5. Hi, I got the same problem. After a fresh install of XP SP3, I am unable to preview my work in dvdmaestro. The only slight workaround I have found is to load powerdvd before hand to get at least an audio-only preview. Anyone have a solution?

  7. Thanks for your reply. I have all the files in the respective directories as well as the dvdmaestro folder for good measure. I still get the error message.

REAL TIME PREVIEW FUNCTIONALITY WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE BECAUSE NO DECODERS HAVE BEEN DETECTED (0X410a0011)

Is there some kind of registry entry I am missing or something?
    This is just weird.

    Thanks in advance.

is this a simple codecs problem ? Download AceMegaCodec Pack and install it has codecs to cover virtually everything both audio and video wise ! For me this is one of the first things i install onto my system after formatting and the updated pack has just been released. !

no, it's not. Maestro doesn't work with new codecs but dedicated Cinemaster.

I installed DVDMaestro onto an XP SP3 system and everything is functioning normally. I don't normally install anything into the Windows system directories, for reasons stated here (the directory of the launched program is the first that Windows will search).

I did find that I have four of the .DLL files in the program directory. The fourth file is DVDPLD32.DLL.

As for installing any megaCODEC pack, that is the LAST thing that I would do. You'll spend the next couple of months just trying to restore everything back to normal.

  11. Thanks for your reply. I have the k-lite codec pack installed. These are the mpeg related items installed:

    --directshow filters klite--
    mpeg ts splitter (haali)
    mpeg splitter (gabest)

    --directshow filters miscrosoft--
    mpeg splitter
    mpeg2 sections and tables

    --directshow filters other--
    mpeg2 decoder (gabest)
    mpeg 1-2 decoder (mainconcept)

I am a little worried because I'm not sure what the effect of uninstalling these would have.
