    1. Is there a good or bad way of converting a DVD into a Divx? Everybody has different ways of making Divx's, i was wandering whats the best way to make Top Quilty DivX's? Can you post a link?

    2. How do i compress or burn a divx movie into one 80 minute blank CD?

    3. I was searching through CD Burner products, and was wandering what does "Firewire" supposed to mean?

    4. Can a DVD burner burn all the extra added features? Or just the movie?

Two common ways are to use FlaskMPEG or DVD2AVI. DVD2AVI is faster and probably the better way for DivX. FlaskMPEG has the advantage of easy hardencoded subtitles -- but this is more of an issue of VCD and SVCD creation rather than DivX. doom9's site has excellent guides on both methods: http://www.doom9.net

When you create your DivX AVI file, you have to set the appropriate bitrate to use. With a bitrate calculator, you can work out the settings to make it fit on one CD. To burn a DivX file to a CD is as simple as create a CD-ROM with the DivX file.

This is a newish connector on the PC. Consider it a very fast USB port. It is used to transfer video from miniDV video cameras to the PC and vice versa. It is also used for portable hard-discs, some zip drives, etc.

A DVD burner can burn all the extras -- but you will have to author them first.
