  1. I may be doing exactly the right thing, but I would like to validate it.

I am capturing VHS video into MPEG2 via a Sony Vaio desktop in about 700MB chunks (about 15 minutes). I then edit using Screenblast Movie Studio 3.0.

After editing I add other edited chunks into MS, add transitions, etc to create a clip of about an hour.

The next step is to author using TMPGenc Author, to add chapter points and then burn.

    Does this sound correct?

    Thanks,
    Allen

Sounds okay, I capture to mpeg 2 directly, then author.

  3. look at lordsmurf's website at www.lordsmurph.com for some tips. I dont believe that you have an ATI card, however, you should be able to get enough information to help you.

Personally, I am a desktop recorder guy (E30). They, IMO and others, offer the best final product.
