I edited my camcorder movie in Pinnacle 8.5 and outputted it to an DVD compliant mpeg 2 (Default settings under DVD tab)
Problem is Nero (ver 5.5) wont accept the file. This is strange since I have done this before without any problems. I can make a SVCD this way but no DVD.
In addition to my own files the movie contains some scenes ripped from another DVD and converted to mpeg 2 using womble. Also some files are lower resolution. But this has always worked before as Pinnacle studio 8 has set the correst resolution during encoding.
Tips anyone?

MyDVD 4.0 sometimes rejected even an edited home DV clip by Womble too. Don't ask me why, but redoing the edited clip with a couple of frames less in the beginning (and/or in the end) solves the problem most of the time.

I have had these problem and there are some thing to look at. Are these MPEG 2 is it VBR or CBR mpeg2. I have TMPG and it does not like MPEg 2 file's frommy Dazzle 2 that are VBR. It will take CBR but I have to unlock TMPG and set to audio to layer two. To unlock TMPG go to setting and and you will see a unlock fileclick on it to time's. Also try Canopus encoder. Bit now my Canopus will not take any file's you can install one thng and your code dec is a little out of wach.
If you can not encode it to fix it the only other way to get the file fix is to out put it and capture it with other PC with a another capture card.
