I made probably 50 vcd's with no problem playing the audio with the bitstream output on my Toshiba sd-2800 DVD player. With the help of this site I successfully burned some DVD's that will play the video fine, but will only play the .mp2 or ac3 soundtrack when I change the DVD output to pcm. By accident MovieFactory 2 re-encoded some audio to lpcm and that audio plays with the bitstream output selected. I would like to leave it on bitstream, but I can't find any solution to multiplexing a lpcm stream with a .m2v stream. TMPGEnc and BBMPEG both say they are illegal streams but yet MovieFactory can do it. Either that or could someone explain why my vcd's will play a mp2 soundtrack on bitstream but on a DVD I have to switch the output to pcm? This seems backwards to me. I would love to not have to have a pcm soundtrack. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
