    I'm new to capturing and have a dumb question. If I take a digitial image (satlelite) and capture thru a s video cable, do I need a capture card if I use a capture software like movie maker or movie factory? Thanks in advance

    If you don't have a capture card, where will you plug in your S-video
    cable ?

    ATI AIW can capture Dazzle 2 card www.dazzlegeek.com and Hauppauge WinTV PVR-350 can all capture with timer's. Dazzle 2 you can find them on ebay I would say the best capture card. But go to www.dazzlegeek.com to see if it can work with your mother board.

    Tip's Dazzle 2 is better for satlelite dish but ATI AIW is better for remastering VHS tape's
