For acouple of months i recorded an tvshow in avi then encoded the episodes into mpg dvd complicant mpgs.

Now i burned out the mpegs as dvd and on computer in windows media player some files plays not ok. But in Media Player Classic they all plays fine.

But in my stationary dvdplayer hocked up to my tv ive getting jerky picture its like ghosting effects.

So I added one mpg file in tmpgencoder and saw that
Those mpgs that is ghost effects on tv is:
Field Order: Bottom field first (field B)

And the mpg that plays good on my dvd is encoded as:
FieldOrder: Top field first (field A) is good

So is there anyway to change the field order without re-encode the mpg to an new mpg becourse i think the quality will get worse.
And I already deleted the origional avi files.

you can do it with pulldown.exe + GUI (what a great program) and prob. also re-stream (not sure)

but you may have an issue where they are out of order then ...
