Does anyone know anything about this drive? It didnt show up in the dvd writer list. I went to Best Buy today to get one but they were sold out, I asked to talk to a manager and ended up getting a Lite-On 411S for the same price. It was a good day... but I still want to know if anyone has used the Norcent writer yet.

From what ive seen i would say the liteon is a better buy, make sure you get the newest firmware from their site before you start burning dvd-r blanks.

  3. A bit of anecdotal data about Norcent: Last year I bought a pair of el cheapo home-theater DVD players, one by Norcent and one by Apex. The Apex has been flawless, but the Norcent has been occasionally troublesome....dropping colors, not playing rental discs with which the Apex had no trouble.
