When using TMPGEnc I am trying to convert Dont Say a Word from ASF format to MPG format and the the program will not load the file. It says its unsupported. Already done dozen others with no probs but this one is giving me a fit. Any ideas on what gives.

try renaming the extention to avi... i once converted a asf like that using TMPGenc

No sir that did not work. Even Nero full version says its a no go. Says file not suuported. THe movie plays great and looks great but neither tmpg or nero will burn the VCD. Any other ideas ? Even went into ms dos and rename file extension. movie still played but neither will rip it for me. HELP PLEASE

I know that older versions of VirtualDub (1.3C and earlier)allow you to open asf files. If you could find a copy of that you could either encoder to an avi or frameserve into your encoder.

Yeah...darkwing is right...had the same trouble myself and I used 1.3c...but my audio is a lil off.

A little off? Sounds like talking in a barrel. There has got to be a program that will convert ASF to MPEG1 somehow. I have looked on tons of warez sites and here. ASF tools does AVI conversion but the video was non existent and audio was awful with no tweking to be had or found. Come on my fellow crackers. Think !!
